Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Islamabad

Arrival at Islamabad, and sightseeing in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

Day 2Islamabad to Chilas (480km)

Early breakfast and proceed to Chilas (480km). Dinner and overnight in Chilas.

Day 3Chilas to Skardu (2300m)

After breakfast, drive to Skardu (6-7 hrs). En route, lunch at Stak Nala. Afternoon visit the local bazaar, evening back to hotel.

Day 4Preparation Day in Skardu

Final preparation day at Skardu, afternoon free to relax or visit the local market, explore Skardu and its surroundings.

Day 5Skardu to Hushe (3048m)

Drive to Hushe Valley (5-7h) via Siachen Road until Khaplu for lunch, then drive to Hushe.

Day 6Hushe to Saicho (3330m)

Smooth trek to Saicho for 4-5 hours with pleasant view of Masherbrum Peak (7821m). Afternoon free for exploration around campsite.

Day 7Saicho to Laila Peak Base Camp

Trek towards Laila Base Camp (4,535m) for 5-6 hours. Establish camp close to Gondogoro Glacier. Dinner and overnight in camp.

Day 8Rest Day at Base Camp

A rest day at base camp to enjoy the whole day and acclimatize.

Day 9Base Camp to Saicho

Easy walk back to Saicho (3-5hrs). Stop for lunch on the way, afternoon free for relaxing.

Day 10Saicho to Machulo

Easy walk to Hushe (4-5hrs). Visit Hushe village and travel to Machulu for 1-hour drive. Hot shower and channel walk in town.
