Itinerary
Arrive at Islamabad International Airport and meet your guide. Transfer to hotel. Islamabad city tour if flight timings allow. Overnight stay at Grace Boutique Hotel, Islamabad.
Breakfast at the hotel then checkout and transfer to Islamabad Airport. Domestic flight to Skardu. On arrival, transfer to hotel and explore Skardu city in the afternoon. Overnight stay at GreenPak Hotel and Resort, Skardu.
Breakfast at the hotel and checkout. Drive to Hushe Valley with sightseeing stops along the way through the Saltoro Valley. Arrive in Hushe and check in to the guesthouse. Overnight stay in Hushe.
Breakfast and begin the expedition trek from Saicho, the trailhead above Hushe. The trail climbs steadily into the upper valley through glacier moraines and high pastures. Overnight camping at Dalchampa.
Breakfast at camp. Continue the trek towards Laila Peak Basecamp (6,095m) for close-up views of one of the most dramatically shaped peaks in the Karakoram, its perfect triangular profile towering above the glacier. Continue to Khuspang campsite. Overnight camping at Khuspang.
Breakfast at camp. Two days are allocated for the ascent of Ghondogoro Peak (5,750m), an accessible trekking peak with one of the finest 360-degree panoramas in the Karakoram — Laila Peak, K6, K7, Masherbrum and dozens of other peaks spread across the horizon. Climbing equipment and rope fixing are included for this section. The summit day typically requires an early start. Overnight camping at high camp and back at Khuspang.
Breakfast at camp. Trek back from the Ghondogoro area to Saicho campsite. Overnight camping at Saicho.
Breakfast at camp. Continue trekking towards Spangsar, repositioning for the approach into the K6 and K7 corridor. Overnight camping at Spangsar.
Breakfast at camp. Over two days, trek from Spangsar into the K6 and K7 Basecamp via the Charuksa Glacier. K6 (7,282m) and K7 (6,934m) are two of the most technically demanding peaks in the entire Karakoram, rarely climbed and rarely visited. The approach through the Charuksa Glacier is raw, remote and exceptional. Overnight camping at K6 and K7 Basecamp.
Breakfast at camp. A full rest day at K6 and K7 Basecamp. Explore the surroundings, photograph the peaks and recover before the long trek out. Overnight camping at basecamp.

This is rated medium to advanced. The Ghondogoro Peak summit at 5,750m requires basic mountaineering skills including crampons and rope use. The K6 and K7 approach via the Charuksa Glacier involves glaciated terrain. Prior high-altitude trekking experience is required.
No. Weather conditions, snow conditions and individual fitness on the day all determine viability. Two days are allocated to maximise the chance of a successful summit. The guide makes the final call on safety.
