Itinerary
Arrive at Islamabad airport where you will be met by our Guide or staff, and transfer to Hotel. It will be 45 minute drive from Airport to Islamabad. We recommend arriving in Islamabad at least one day early so that you can settle in and be ready to go on the morning of day one.
Catch an early morning flight to Skardu (50 minutes), the largest city in Baltistan. If the weather is clear, then we can catch some truly stunning views of Nanga Parbat and other massive peaks in the area. Once in Skardu guests will have free time throughout the day to rest and explore the city and bazaar. We will finalize our trekking permits at the local government office and have dinner together as a group.
Today, the team is busy food shopping and packing all of the group supplies. Clients have free time in the city during the morning and early afternoon. In the late afternoon (time permitting), we will visit the Kharpocho Fort as a group for those who want to come. We will have dinner again as a group before setting off in the morning.
Our adventure begins in earnest! Our team will assemble early at the hotel and after breakfast, we will load up the 4×4 jeeps and begin the bumpy, dusty drive to Jhula – the gateway to Central Karakoram National Park. The journey from Skardu takes between 7 and 9 hours depending on road conditions. We will eat lunch near Askoli and around. We will arrive at Askoli in the late afternoon and sleep at a permanent trekkers camp.
Begin the trek from Askole, the last village before the wilderness. Trek along the Braldu River, passing through rocky terrain and crossing streams to reach Namla Camp.
Continue trekking towards Shafong, gradually gaining altitude. Enjoy stunning views of surrounding peaks and glaciers as you move deeper into the Karakoram.
Trek through rugged terrain, crossing glacial moraines and valleys to reach Bentha, a scenic campsite with panoramic mountain views.
A well-deserved rest day for acclimatization. Explore the area, take photographs, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Karakoram peaks.
Resume trekking towards Marpo Goro, walking along icy trails and glacial paths. The journey offers views of majestic peaks and dramatic landscapes.
Move further into the heart of the Karakoram, reaching Karpo Goro, where you'll witness stunning glaciers and untouched mountain beauty.
