What's Included
Itinerary
Land in Skardu and feel the crisp mountain air. After a smooth transfer, we visit the iconic Shangrila Resort (Lower Kachura) and the hidden gem, Upper Kachura Lake. Enjoy a boat ride or a peaceful lakeside walk as you acclimatize to the 2,230m altitude.
A 4x4 Jeep adventure takes you to Deosai National Park, the world's second-highest plateau (4,114m). Witness the mirror-like reflections at Sheosar Lake, spot Himalayan Marmots at Bara Pani, and stand in awe of the vast, treeless wilderness.
Travel along the Shyok River to Khaplu, once a tiny kingdom. We explore the architectural marvel of Khaplu Palace (a Serena Heritage property) and the 700-year-old Chaqchan Mosque, one of the oldest in the region.
Visit the Sarfaranga Cold Desert, where high-altitude sand dunes meet snow-capped peaks. Explore the Shigar Fort (The Palatial Residence) and stand beneath the thundering Manthokha Waterfall—one of the tallest in the region.
Before your flight, we take a short trip to Kharpocho Fort for a panoramic view of the Indus River winding through Skardu. Grab some local dried apricots and gemstones at the Skardu Bazaar before your flight back to Islamabad.
Helpful answers
When flying from Islamabad to Skardu, try to get a window seat on the Right Side to see Nanga Parbat and K2. On the return flight from Skardu to Islamabad, sit on the Left Side.
Yes. Most domestic airlines (PIA/Airblue) allow 20kg of checked luggage and 7kg of hand carry. We recommend packing light as you will be moving between valleys
No. Deosai is usually accessible only from mid-June to September. If you travel in May or October, we replace the Deosai day with a visit to Basho Valley or Chunda Valley, which are equally stunning and accessible earlier/later in the season.
Yes! Since this is a "By Air" trip with private 4x4 vehicles, it is very comfortable. There is very little strenuous hiking involved unless you choose to climb up to Kharpocho Fort.
SCOM is the most reliable network in Gilgit-Baltistan. Your Zong/Jazz signals might work in Skardu city, but they often disappear in Khaplu or Deosai. We recommend buying a local SCOM SIM for around PKR 500-1,000 for 4G data.
