Itinerary
Arrive at Lahore Airport and meet your guide. Transfer to your hotel and check in. If time allows, visit Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque and explore the famous Food Street near the fort for traditional Lahori cuisine. Overnight stay in Lahore.
A full day exploring Lahore's Mughal heritage. Visit Wazir Khan Mosque, one of the most ornate mosques of the Mughal era, the Lahore Museum and the UNESCO-listed Shalimar Gardens. In the evening, head to Wagah Border for the famous flag-lowering ceremony on the Pakistan-India border. Overnight stay in Lahore.
Transfer to Islamabad by flight or road (approximately 4 to 5 hours by road). On arrival, visit Faisal Mosque, the Pakistan Monument and the Daman-e-Koh viewpoint overlooking the twin cities. Overnight stay in Islamabad.
Take a morning domestic flight from Islamabad to Skardu. The flight passes through the Karakoram mountains and is one of the most scenic short flights in the world. After arrival, visit the Katpana Cold Desert and explore Skardu Bazaar. In the afternoon, visit Upper Kachura Lake, set against towering cliffs with clear glacial water. Lower Kachura Lake can also be visited for its calm reflection views. Overnight stay in Skardu.
Drive from Skardu to Raikot Bridge with panoramic views of the Indus Valley. Transfer to jeep for the ride up to Tattu Village, then trek approximately 3 hours through pine forests to reach Fairy Meadows, one of the most beautiful alpine meadows in the world with Nanga Parbat dominating the horizon. Overnight stay in a wooden hut at Fairy Meadows.
A full day hike to Beyal Camp and the Nanga Parbat Base Camp. The trail offers close-up views of glaciers and the towering face of Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the world's ninth-highest mountain. Return to Fairy Meadows in the evening. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, trek back down to Tattu Village and jeep out to Raikot Bridge. Continue north along the Karakoram Highway through Gilgit and alongside the Hunza River with views of snow-capped peaks throughout the drive. Arrive in Hunza Valley. Overnight stay in Hunza.
A full day exploring Hunza. Visit the centuries-old Baltit Fort and Altit Fort, then drive up to Eagle's Nest for sweeping panoramic views over the valley. Continue to Upper Hunza for Attabad Lake, where turquoise glacial waters stretch between dramatic cliffs. Cross the Hussaini Suspension Bridge and take in the jagged silhouette of Passu Cones. Overnight stay in Hunza.
An early start for one of the most adventurous jeep rides in Pakistan, along the dramatic Shimshal road. Explore the remote high-altitude community of Shimshal Valley and enjoy the surrounding landscape. After lunch in Shimshal, drive back to Passu for dinner and overnight stay.
Drive across to Hopper Valley in Nagar, a quieter and less-visited corner of the region. Enjoy tea at the Hopper teahouse with views of the Bualtar Glacier and surrounding peaks. A peaceful half-day excursion before returning to Hunza for overnight stay.
