Upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, you will be warmly received by our representative, who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you comfortably to your hotel in Islamabad. After breakfast at the hotel, depart from Islamabad for Taxila, one of the most important archaeological regions of the ancient Gandhara Civilisation. Your exploration begins at the Taxila Museum, which houses an impressive collection of Gandharan Buddhist art. Continue your visit to the Jaulian Buddhist Monastery, one of the most significant monastic complexes of the Gandhara period, dating back to the 2nd century CE. Later, explore the historic Dharmarajika Stupa, believed to have been built by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE to house relics of the Buddha. Accommodation: Grand Islamabad Hotel
After breakfast, check out and begin the day with a visit to the historic Bhamala Stupa, an important archaeological site associated with the ancient Gandhara civilization. Dating back to the 2nd century CE, the site is known for its remarkable ruins and ancient Buddha statues preserved in their original setting. After exploring the site, enjoy lunch in Taxila before continuing the journey toward Peshawar. After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart from Peshawar for a scenic journey toward Swat, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Pakistan" for its lush green valleys and dramatic mountain landscapes. En route, visit the remarkable Takht-i-Bahi, an ancient Buddhist monastic complex located near Mardan. This important Indo-Parthian archaeological site dates back to the 1st century CE and is recognized as one of the most significant Buddhist relics of the ancient Gandhara civilization. After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for a day of exploring the remarkable Buddhist heritage of Swat. Your first stop will be the historic Amluk-Dara Stupa, an ancient Buddhist monument dating back to the 3rd century CE. After exploring Amluk Dara, continue to the nearby Saidu Sharif Stupa, another important Buddhist monument that reflects the rich Gandharan heritage of the Swat Valley. After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart from Besham for Gilgit, traveling along the famous Karakoram Highway, one of the most spectacular mountain roads in the world. Upon reaching Chilas, enjoy lunch before visiting the remarkable Chilas Rock Art sites. These ancient carvings were created by travelers and traders who once passed through this region along the historic Silk Road. Begin the day with a scenic flight from Skardu to Islamabad. This spectacular mountain flight offers breathtaking aerial views of the mighty Nanga Parbat and the dramatic peaks of the Karakoram. After arrival, drive to the historic Mankiala Stupa, a 2nd-century Buddhist monument associated with a famous Jataka Tales story in which the Bodhisattva offers his own flesh to feed hungry tiger cubs.
