Your card details never touch our servers. Here is how we keep your payment safe from start to finish.
Your card is protected
When you enter your card number on Kipgo, you are actually typing into a secure form hosted by Cybersource, a payment security company owned by Visa. The card number and CVV fields on our checkout page are provided and controlled entirely by Cybersource. Your card details are encrypted on your device and sent directly to them. Kipgo never sees, stores, or has access to your full card number.
This is the same level of security used by major banks and global e-commerce platforms.
3D Secure verification
Every card payment on Kipgo goes through 3D Secure (3DS) authentication. This means your bank will ask you to confirm the payment with a one-time password sent to your phone. This extra step makes sure that only you can authorize payments from your card.
If the OTP verification fails or is cancelled, no payment is charged and no booking is created.
Saving your card for future payments
When you save a card on Kipgo, we do not store your actual card details. Instead, your card is securely tokenized by our payment partner. A token is a unique reference that lets us charge your card without ever seeing or storing the real card number.
You can manage your saved cards anytime from your account settings. Adding, removing, or changing your default card is always in your control.
Split payments
If you choose to pay in installments, your saved card will be automatically charged on the scheduled dates. Each charge is processed securely using the same tokenized system. You will receive an email reminder 2 days before each payment, and a confirmation email after each successful charge.
If a scheduled payment fails, we will retry up to 3 times. You will be notified by email each time so you can update your payment method if needed.
Your billing address
We ask for your billing address during checkout to help verify your identity with your bank. This reduces the chance of your payment being flagged or declined. Your billing address is only used for payment verification and is not shared with suppliers.
Refunds
If your booking is cancelled and you are eligible for a refund, the amount will be credited back to your original payment method. Refund processing times depend on your bank, but typically take 5 to 10 business days. You will receive an email once your refund has been processed.
