How split payments work

Pay for your trip in installments instead of all at once.

Split payments let you spread the cost of your booking over multiple payments instead of paying everything upfront. Here is how it works.

When are split payments available

Split payments are available when your booking total is Rs 200,000 or more, the listing is a tour or trek, and the departure date is far enough in the future for installments to be spaced out meaningfully. If your booking qualifies, you will see a "Split payments" section on the listing page after selecting your date.

Choosing a plan

When split payments are available, you will see up to three payment plan options. Each plan shows a different way to spread your payments. Some plans have a larger deposit with smaller payments later, while others spread the cost more evenly.

Each option shows the exact dates and amounts for every installment, so you know exactly what to expect before you commit.

How the deposit works

The first payment is always due immediately when you book. This is your deposit. The remaining installments are scheduled automatically on the dates shown in your chosen plan.

Once you complete the deposit, your booking is confirmed right away. You do not need to wait for all payments to be made before your booking is active.

Automatic payments

After your deposit, each remaining installment is charged automatically to your saved card on the scheduled date. You do not need to log in or take any action for these payments.

Two days before each payment, you will receive an email reminder with the amount and date. After each successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email.

What if a payment fails

If a scheduled payment fails, we will retry up to 3 times. You will receive an email each time a payment fails, letting you know what happened and what to do next.

The most common reason for a failed payment is an expired or cancelled card. You can update your payment method anytime from your account settings. We recommend keeping your card details up to date to avoid any interruptions.

If all 3 attempts fail, your booking will be automatically cancelled.

Your payment schedule after booking

Once you have booked, you can view your full payment schedule on your booking detail page. This shows each installment with its date, amount, and status, so you always know where you stand.

Cancellations and refunds

If you cancel a booking that uses split payments, your refund is calculated based on the listing's cancellation policy and the amount you have actually paid so far. You will only be refunded from what has been collected, minus any non-refundable portion.

For example, if you have paid Rs 280,000 out of a Rs 400,000 total and the policy allows a 75% refund, your refund would be Rs 180,000. The non-refundable portion (25% of the total, Rs 100,000) is subtracted from what you have paid.

Any remaining scheduled payments are cancelled immediately when you cancel the booking.
